My happy proud little teacher moment came watching Opal lead her friends on the alphabet letter hunt, hang up the letters, write a bunch of letters (and inspire Hazel and Honey to write letters) on the pet hospital forms. It's nice to watch literacy naturally emerging from these ripe spongy minds. And if Eloise's role in this game is to rearrange them, that's fine too. Just an extra challenge to unrearrange them. (Please no more scribbling on them though). As of this writing during-quiet-activities time however, they have not quite completed the alphabet (and 'candy' challenge). Will they? Stay tuned...
I think we all agree it is nice to have Zach and Felix join us. They stayed with us through LaTourette. Felix has a delightful smile and is pretty easy-going. Like his Dad, who joins the play, adds to the play, and is just an all around positive addition to the group.
Now imagine the kids all running around the room screaming and rampaging, throwing around chairs (soft ones fortunately), ripping up papers, and having a grand ole time while I was helping someone in the loo. (Fortunately dumping out the marble run brought them all to the carpet quickly). Weslee and Eloise napped.
