a Wednesday sans cousins is very different from a Wednesday with cousins...

for example, when they arrived, they all stopped at the sensory bin with the orbeez. And they stayed there for most of the morning. just happy playing together. not even going around the corner to see what might be waiting...

it wasn't until circle time that Honey discovered the new alphabet board, and finally started searching for the hidden letters

they unanimously opted for a bus adventure, and we spent a good part of the day exploring the trails at Newell Creek. amazing mushrooms, a waterfall to watch, paths camoflagued in leaves. and at times, we are able to be slow and quiet, to listen to the leaves floating down, to the birds singing, and just sit and enjoy a leisurely lunch

but the best thing of all was that Weslee joined his friends cleaning up this morning of his own volition, and those trains got put away in no time.

we will sleep well (I hope)
