October 20th

I know these gorgeous fall days are soon to be replaced by cold wet darkness. We had best cherish every one of them. And Jackie chose 'Outside Leader' and wanted to go on a bus. So we headed out after snack and wandered along the Clackamas, over the bridge, and down to a lovely little cove we call Pippin Beach. They much have thrown a thousand rocks in the river and managed not to hit each other once. They collected mud and enjoyed 'putting suntan' on the rocks and dressing them up. We picnicked on the sandy beach, and only dropped a few things in the sand.

A Tuesday that was good for the soul.

We got back to school after 3:30, and double-washed our hands and read four books on mats and chairs.

Today had that lovely Tuesday vibe despite the switcheroo with Jackie and Welsee. So maybe it's just that we are all fresh from the weekend and happy to see each other. They spend the morning engineering with spoons, popscicle sticks and rubber bands and came up with all sort of things.
