September 15th

You wouldn't believe the instant change in the room when the last parent leaves. A sudden peace and calm descends, and the kids start playing together. Well, usually, anyway. I think the kids, even the ones who have been coming here for several years feel the stress of saying goodbye, and there are a lot of big emotions at leaving time.

Good things in life: fresh playdoh, fall leaves, a new tube of toothpaste, freshly laundered sheets, preschoolers...

If I somehow missed you in the email, you are invited to watch the swifts, the sunset and your children frolicking at the Jackson Field tomorrow. Around 7...

(The first photo is my new Happy Place in Montengro. A wonderful place to go when the children take ALL of the dress-up, ALL of the pillows, ALL of the blankets and a bunch of random things and pile them on top of a mostly-I-think consenting Felix).
