Wishing us all a very happy Friday and a wonderful weekend. We stayed close to home today. It was Danny's first Friday with a new mix of kids, and Ben's first day back in a long time. I did send one kiddo home with diarrhea, and we have all been exposed to a small degree to Covid, as there case in the Rivendell community. With an abundance of caution, I tested negative for Covid after lunch (because of course I immediately felt a little bit symptomatic as you probably do yourself right now!) and will test again before class on Tuesday. It's something to be on the lookout for, not to be confused with all the regular back-to-school coughs and colds. That said, it's usually not a big deal these days, unless we have someone in our lives who is immunocompromised (like my daughter).

My basic illness policy is: does your child feel good enough to engage in all preschool activities? Would you want your own child in contact with these symptoms? I also copied this guideline from Clackamas schools:

Back to having a wonderful weekend: it's already started due to computer glitches last night!! And with no further ado, enjoy those Danny smiles, Opal's high fashion, Honey's high jumps, Eloise's kitchen concoctions, Ben's stacking skills, and Azrael's butterfly stomping.
