October 15th

Our theme today was 'beauty'. And we found it everywhere. Especially in the autumn trees. I'm never quite sure kids have an aesthetic sense (if you go collecting leaves or rocks, they seem to just randomly grab whatever sometimes, or very carefully pick out something for mysterious qualities that cannot be inferred by myself), but these adventurers pointed out 'beauty' everywhere we went, and saw it many of the same places that I did.

(And they discovered the landing pad of high jump at the CCC track and field and had a most marvelous time there in addition to our other favorite places).

My pedometer says 3.55 miles. I did not run the track three times. Or even once!
