On this bright Seussian day, hip-hip-hooray!
We played pom-pom croquet in a wibbly-wob way
On a zig-zaggy landscape with twisty green trees,
Where the breeze said “ker-sneeze!” and the bees hummed with glee.
There was ooey-gooey oobleck—squish, splop, and plop!
It slid down the hill with a slither-slurp flop!
While stories galore (oh my throat felt quite sore!)
Kept tumbling and rumbling out more and still more.
We sported Seuss hairdos—tall, swirly, and blue,
And who should pop by but old Things One and Two!
They cartwheeled through riddles and puzzle-piece clues,And started a scavenger hunt—such hullabaloo!
First off to the library—tiptoe and peek!
For critters to search and odd treasures to seek.
A snuffle-snout snorfle!
A giggle-bug too!
We spotted six whifflers (and maybe a few).
Then picnic time came at the Tot’s playground spot
With salami sandies stacked in a wibble-warm pot.
We slid, swung, and scampered—then naps (one or two),
As the clouds drifted by in a marshmallow hue.
But the day wasn’t done—oh no, not at all!
There were puzzles and games in the bright afternoon hall.
With giggles and wiggles and challenges too,
In a day full of Seuss-tastic fun—through and through!
