December 10th

My mother (in Paris) who watches the weather and conditions in Oregon City more closely than anyone in town, told me to keep away from the flooding rivers. So today we checked on both the Clackamas and the Willamette! Impressive, wild, raging brown waters! There are barely any falls left! And we went up the elevator, along the promenade, and stopped at the library on the way home. And all (some) of this was improvised because we left the Outside Leader backpack on the bus, and I mistakenly thought that maybe we could catch it returning if we caught the next bus back. Hopefully I will find it at the Lost and Found.

We will all sleep well tonight. Remember that when I clock 4.74 miles, they probably went ten!
