Happy Friday to us all! I don't know how to explain this since preschoolers have a very creative understanding of time and (mostly) really don't have a concept days of the week and linear-type thinking, and mostly don't know if yesterday was a school day or if tomorrow will be a school day, or maybe tomorrow is yesterday and will be tomorrow yesterday after snack (?), and maybe if we just eat afternoon snack now at circle it will be pick-up time, and tomorrow I went to the beach...
and yet...
there is a definite Friday vibe
Warning: Cara can get chatty when she's lost her marbles and all the children nap. Today it began to rain gently at La Tourette, so we sheltered for a few minutes under the tree, just chatting and hanging out...and I look up and notice two park workers with our backpacks and the bag headed to their truck. Of course I run over there to claim it all and they realize their mistake. Guess who was in the bag?! Dolly. They were quite surprised (perhaps telling their families the story over dinner), and Dolly fate almost took a radical shift! And we got to ask them about those bags filled with gelatinous stuff only to learn that they call them 'tree diapers'. Which still cracks me up.
