April 16th

Today the sun shined on Rivendell, figuratively and literally. They cooperated when it counted, played nicely, supported each other, said sorry when they needed to, and still manage to have a good time. Azrael arrived with a passion for the Beetlejuice score, and I happened to have a couple of books about orchestras. I gave them a little lesson in conducting and setting the tempo, they accompanied my flute with a variety of instruments. We had fun exploring magnets together, first with a painting activity, and then rolling around magnets on the big cardboard, guiding them from underneath.

And it was Weslee's last day being 3 at Rivendell! His birthday-at school-will be on Tuesday. Oh. That's actually his birthday! I invite you to wear blue and/or orange on Tuesday in his honor.
