A most excellent Thursday. It's a little delicate rallying for a morning field trip (the bus leaves around 9:00) because it's also the best time to free play at school and some of them have just gotten there (literally!). But it's worth it and smooth sailing once we get moving. Weslee wanted to bring his swim trunks. And he kept track of them the whole time! He likes to have something special in his hand. Eloise fell twice, but she's a tough cookie (and a lollipop break helped the second time). Hazel managed her new fear of the outside, and I got to hold her hand a lot. We spent more time in the empty buildings than not, examining everythings from eggs, to birds to planets to fossils to playing on the guitars. In case you're wondering, my least favorite part of a field trip is when we are having a rest room break, and some kids are really fast, and some are really slow, and the fast ones get restless and loud, and the sounds echo around the room and it's really loud and chaotic. All the rest is good. There is simply SOOOo much to see in college. And Rest Time Plan B with 4 year olds going out of the room for quiet alone activities worked just fine today. Thank you Opal, Azrael and Hazel. The younger 3 slept and I got a few moments of peace and quiet with them.

and finally...
