just some random thoughts:

  • there was one single swooping swift last night. they are gone. I feel really lucky to have experienced such an amazing phenomenon, and am sorry it's time has passed

  • when Azrael and Opal cooperate through the lunch-rest time transition, i am filled with relaxed happy gratitude and feel my well of patience being refilled

  • i am thinking about Halloween (perhaps because Azrael sang THIS IS HALLOWEEN all the way home from LaTourette) and want to pick a date for a Rivendell Pumpkin Patch family fun day, and a patch. Do we like tradition and familiarity? Or are we ready to try something new? Let me know your thoughts and whether a date works best for you

  • Azrael quickly discovered the awesome feature of the new snake (and was very attached to it)

  • it's nice seeing Weslee leading play with all the kids. Today he had them all enjoying a fancy pizza-camping-picnic party both in the loft and at LaTourette

  • it's nice that Eloise takes a lot of initiative in clean-up, often clearing the table of any items her friends forget to bus

  • I think Honey and Eloise eat more food than the rest combined

  • It's inspiring to see Skylar respond to play invitations extended from the rest of us.

So a very fine Wednesday!

and in the afternoon....
