Skylar's first day of preschool at Rivendell! Here's what I found out:
she has an infectious smile
she doesn't use many words
she has self-invented signs that are easy to learn
she explored materials methodically, one by one, and put them back where she found them
she showed a lot of empathy for the other kids, especially when they cried
her favorite color is lavender
she goes for the fruit first, veggies second, chicken nugget last
the first vehicle she climbed on was the bulldozer
and she likes to swing
and in other news, we had an old-style rest time, with all of us together in the rest time room, reading a story, and falling asleep to a sweet playlist. and this was entirely their choice. they may all have slept a little. it sure was quiet in there!
