August 26th

I had 8 kids scheduled for this last Tuesday in August at the beginning of the summer, and only 2 kids showed up! That's never happened. Glad that Sophia jumped aboard to make 3. And I was glad to have the calmness and space to welcome Weslee back and get caught up to date with Sophia. I suggested we might want to stay around Rivendell is since they hadn't been here for a long time, but we very glad they opted to adventure. Clackamas Community College is open but empty of students. Perfect.

A few thoughts...

this was the perfect crew for duck watching, slow and patient

they took out the Lord of the Ring pinball machine

Sophia is a patient and kind teacher, and I think Honey and Weslee actually understood the game this time

(I'm not sure they quite understand Duck, Duck, Goose though)

Weslee took a 5 minute power nap on the bus. Honey actually took a nap on her mat!!!

And Weslee really learned to jump.
